I've been asked to do a tutorial and they are fun to make, so I put this together in a few hours. I'm nowhere good enough to do tutorials, but maybe some people who don't know that much about colouring can learn something new from this. I hate when I search for tutorials and all I see is "I do this and it looks like this, yay!". What exactly did you do? What brush and settings did you use? How did you do it to make it look like that? Argh... DX So, I tried to write everything that came to my mind.
Komolyan? Ennek örülök. Én sokszor csinálom a színátmenetes dolgot a ruháknál is, pl. ezen a képen [link] Csak nyugodtan.
i have photoshop cs5 (im on a school issued computer: digital arts and design teaches us tidbits here and there about the different stuff we can do) and you helped me out BIG TIME with this. i've been messing around a bit with my photoshop, so thanks
i don't have money for a tablet, and i cant use a mouse, so i just use the trackpad for all my projects (i used flash cs5 for all of my drawings in my gallery, and i used my fingers on the trackpad for that too). i've only had this thing for about 5 months so i dont know much, and those are all old drawings.
ok, im blabbering way to much so my point is, i was wondering if you knew any tricks i can use because my simple little way of doing this takes WAY to long and never turns out as good as, say, YOUR stuff.... any help???
I'm glad you find it useful, hehe. I'm sorry, but I've never used a trackpad myself, so I can't give you any tips concerning that. It's possible to learn colouring pretty well with a mouse, though. (I used to colour with a mouse before I had a tablet.) But the best, fastest and easiest way is getting a tablet.
wow your tutorial is amazingly helpful, I'll be getting a tablet in a week or two and your tutorial has already taught me more (or what i need to know) then this photoshop book I bought in preparation O.e;;
Haha! Really? That's awesome. I've never even seen a Photoshop book, all I know is from what I learned from watching other people draw on YouTube, trying out some tutorials and experimenting by myself. 8D
you know I try looking up tutorials but i never find any decent ones, ether they are so complex or people just drawing so it doesn't really help. But ya really nice job, I was always wondering bout how to give the skin and hair a glowy effect (or a better use of layers I should say) since I only use one layer for each part (skin, eyes, clothes, hair, etc.) on GIMP.
I know what you mean. When I began using Sai, I looked up some tutorials on DA, but most of the ones I found either assume you already know lots of things or they are really hard to follow. I'm glad you found mine helpful.
quicky for the "shining light"/"bright light" thing ( on "how to make the hair shiny") i believe, in english, it's "Hightlight" i maybe wrong XD (thinking of something different) but i think that's what it is
Probably. It should be the 16th mode if you scroll down the Mode menu. The Hungarian version is not the equivalent of the English version, I mean they translated some things differently. It took me a while till I figured out some things. XD;
I never used them either before getting Sai and watching how other people draw with it on YouTube. Clipping masks are good, because you can edit them separately. You can even fill them with a gradient or something.
