Gilbert Nightray / Raven from Pandora Hearts. Also known as seaweed head, hetare (useless) and coward. Fufufu~ >D :giggle:
He seems to be so cool, I love his character design. :la: But actually, he's so moe. :XD: He's submissive, shy and short-tempered, has inferiority complex, cat-phobia (lol) and a low drinking capacity, plus he tried to quit smoking 8 or 9 times but failed. Ahahaha!! Loser. :iconomgsocuteplz:
I just had to draw him out of my system. I thought I didn't like these very submissive characters who persistently follow another character around much, but this guy is so effing ADORABLE, he made my inner fangirl melt into a puddle of gooey mush. XDDD;;; [link] LOL

I obviously used a reference for this, it was some painfully small Japanese magazine scan. I made some changes and didn't draw his hat. The style this is drawn in is like a cross between my own style and the style of the anime. XD; I might have made his hair "too big", but the first thing that caught my eye in PH was that the characters have lots of hair and big foreheads. It's quite shoujo-ish.
Well, I wanted to post something on the first day of this year. :D Alright, now I can work on other things...

Anyways, I've been drooling over a lot of your art for a while now but only worked up the nerve to comment on stuff recently >3>
I love your use of reflected light in shading! I wish to figure out how to do this someday, if I ever start coloring things again~ All of the secondary reds and blues~ I must comment on more than just one picture here...

Haha! Thanks so much for your comments. :D Honestly, I don't know much about the way reflected light works, I just add reds and blues where I feel it would look good. XD;

He actually annoyed me sometimes in the beginning, but now I don't even think he can do that anymore XD It's just he's so adorkable and pathetic you can't be mad at him! Poor dude... XD
