My 8th anniversary on deviantART. Yes, the EIGHTTH. 8D ... Holy shit, like... where have all these years gone?! Wha- What.
What have I been doing with my life all this time... , oh my gawddd. I'd bet a few of my watchers were still in kindergarten 8 years ago.
Anyway, a big thank you to everyone who's been there talking to me, supporting me or even just inspiring me since 2006. Um, I'm sorry for being so inactive in the past year, it seems I'm taking 3 month long breaks from art now... But I'm not giving up. Not yet. I still have so many ideas, I just wish I weren't so damn lazy.

First of all, I'm going to try and write up some of my thoughts concerning
Pandora Hearts Retrace 92. It will be spoilery, so it's in the END of my journal entry. Scroll down to skip my ramblings about other things if you wanna read it.
I know I'm boring you with this, but since I'm still getting new watchers who find me through my 7-8 years old
FMA fanarts, I'd like to say once again that I hardly ever draw FMA stuff now. It's still a possibility because I cannot stop loving FMA even after all these years (once I've gotten into something, there's no way out), but don't expect much from me. Same with animals.
Magi ended on Sunday. What should I watch now?
In my opinion, this season was MUCH BETTER than the first season in the aspect of doing the manga justice. I think I read somewhere that the anime producers hadn't planned a 2nd season when the production of the 1st season started and that's why they were rushing, leaving things out and changing other things. There were a few minor things in the beginning of season 2 they changed, but other than these, pretty much everything went according to the original manga.
Which is good. They even added that one manga extra with young Ka Koubun and Kougyoku in one episode, which made me super happy because I love the Kou characters.
Aside from the fact that I'm glad they decided to stick to the manga this time, huge-ass magical battles that remind me of boss battles in Japanese RPG games are not enough to impress me. Sadly, this is probably the best Magi can get.
Story-wise, I'm not sure which season I liked more. I guess I'd actually have to go with the first one (even though the villain of the 2nd season, Mogamett is probably my favourite villain in Magi so far). Magi is decent for a typical shounen manga, but it's nothing more than that. While I do like the more serious themes Magi tends to deal with (poverty, slavery, economy issues, racism, war, etc.), I think conflicts get resolved far too easily with the power of love and friendship and forgiveness and whatnot. Plus it's always that handful group of "chosen ones" who actually act and get stuff done. So yeah. I'd recommend it only if you're into classic shounen manga AND like cutesy characters because almost every important character is freaking adorable and you'll love them even if they don't do much.

I've been following Pandora Hearts since 2009. I watched the anime first and the ending left me so unsatisfied and with so many questions that I immediately began reading the manga. Since then, I keep following the monthly manga releases, no month can pass without my monthly PH dose. I've been following the story of these characters for several years now. PH became a part of my life. There are many characters in PH I can relate to and empathize with and it's really hard for me to name even a single character I could truly despise. So when an important character dies, it almost feels like losing an acquaintance I had known for years.
The most poignant thing for me is when a character who is aware of the fact that they are gonna die soon keep talking about their death throughout the series like it's nothing, but when death
finally comes for them, they realize they don't want to die.
I've never cried over the death of any fictional character and I didn't cry this time either, but I felt that calm aching sadness and I could even feel my eyes getting a little teary. This may be the most intense emotional reaction a story can achieve in me. Still, I'm not 100% sure Break died (only 99% lol). You may never know what Mochizuki has up her sleeve.
Noise/Echo. Those two just keep fighting against each other more and more, I want to know what happened to them after Oz left with Ada.
Oz's (probably final) confrontation with his father was so bitter. Even though I cannot forgive him for what he did in Retrace 82, I don't really hate Zai. Instead I just pity him, I guess.
Regarding Ada. Ada was cool in the previous retrace, but sadly, now I highly doubt she'll ever manage to break out of this "damsel in distress who needs to be saved all the time" role Jun put her in. Also, it's possible that she was there only as an excuse for Jun to have Zai and Oz meet again and she may never meet Vincent again. I was very pleased by the fact that Zai actually cares for her, though.
As for Vincent - his character arc is STILL not over yet. I found it amazing that he just got saved by Break AND Leo in this chapter. And it seems that he does care for Leo. Now that Break is gone, Vincent is the only Child of Misfortune, so him and Oz may be the only ones who can change the flow of events (plus Leo's consciousness fighting Glen's of course). It actually surprised me when Leo suddenly started fighting against Glen when he was about to kill Vincent. I mean Leo could have just let Vincent die. Anyway, I think we'll finally get some parts / chapters focusing on Vincent sometime soon since he has to decide whether he truly wants to erase himself from the past or he wants to
move towards a future.
It seems to me that Reim and Sharon reached some kind of agreement with the Baskervilles...? We can see them standing in the background when Reim and Sharon reunite with Break. Maybe Rufus or Sheryl has something to do with that too? It's pretty amazing how those Rainsworths had known so much all along. Also, I don't believe Rufus is dead. He's a very sneaky and sly guy, probably has a few tricks up his sleeve.
Do you think Pandora Hearts will end with Retrace 100?
